The purpose of the fund is to purchase short-term mortgage-backed loans in the U.S. (Brigde Loans), in order to hold them to maturity and collect their principal and interest.
These loans are taken out by real estate investors who buy houses for the purpose of leasing them, or renovating and reselling them ("Fix & Flip" loans). The loans have a term of 12 to 18 months, rates between 7% and 12%, and include a balance for remodeling.
